Capt. Barry Lafferty has been fishing the Cape May area for the last 21 years. We have placed at several tournaments!

We accommodate the beginner to the experienced angler. We will do our best to make sure that you catch fish and that your trip is enjoyable. We will take the time to make sure your tackle and gear is ready.

We will supply all of the fishing rods, bait and tackle you need. We will even clean your catch for FREE. All you need to bring is your food and beverage of choice...
 

Hooksetter Fishing also has a Co-Captain. Captain Phil Leo is one of the best Inshore and offshore fisherman around. He has fished from Massachusetts to Florida and is the best when it comes to Tog and Fluke. Phil won the Duke of Fluke a few years ago and has caught many blackfish over 12lbs!! He is also an experienced offshore fisherman from Marlin to Tuna.

Most of the tackle that we use are Shimano and Penn. All of the rigs that we used are hand tied with fluorocarbon leaders. The boat is equipped with an EPIRB and 6 man life raft for safety. The boat has a 23 KT  to 29 Kt cruise depending on sea conditions.
